Module 5 - Exercise: Working with S.M.A.R.T. Goals

INSTRUCTIONS
Setup a coaching session. In this session, you’ll work the client asking some basic coaching question:
“What goal would you like to work on?”
You’re the expert. You will guide the client through a process of asking and clarifying until you identify their goal with each S.M.A.R.T. category:
-
Specific – What should be achieved?
-
Measurable – How will you know if the goal has been reached?
-
Action Plan – Which actions will you take to achieve the goals
-
Realistic – Are they achievable?
-
Time Frame – By when?
Successful completion of this activity is that you are able to nail down each category and for the client to be able to verbalize it.
We’re including a S.M.A.R.T. Template that you can print to serve as a guide.
